Testing equipment meets ASTM & AAMA standards, which regulates area coverage, water pressure, length of time and distance from opening. Water infiltration during this test determines that there are unwarranted openings that can cause undue failure to the integrity of the window / wall spaces.

Also known as the ASTM C1521 sealant pull test, this test determines if sealant has proper compatibility to substrate and surrounding conditions. A failed test indicates potential for air & water infiltration into the building cavities.

Field verification of wall components during new construction or forensic evaluation using custom tooled devices to address the multitude of conditions that exist in the field.

A scientific approach to identifying and controlling air infiltration (air leaks) in buildings, as it suggests locations of air exfiltration. Air leaking out of the enclosure causes energy to be consumed when replacement air is conditioned. Air leaking through the building enclosure feeds condensation that is hidden within assemblies and causes performance problems. Other forms of identifying air leaks considers a blower door and/or smoke test.

SGC utilizes various testing devices to verify moisture content, frost points, thicknesses, film and any other areas where potential failure can occur.
